EXTREME CAUTION ADVISED FOR DIABETIC CONSUMERS

FDA
"How Sweet It Is: All About Sweeteners, Food and Drug Administration"
https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/how-sweet-it-all-about-sweeteners

Quoting the FDA: "Also, sweeteners generally do not raise blood sugar levels."

FACT: Many of these zero calorie sweeteners contain added dextrose produced from cornstarch, 21CFR184.1857, and maltodextrin produced from various food starches; e.g., corn, rice, potato, 21CFR184.1444. These are ALL classified as carbohydrates that can significantly impact glucose (blood sugar) levels. Dextrose (cornstarch sugar/D-glucose) is utilized as a glucose (blood sugar)-elevating agent in IV fluids for treating hypoglycemic patients,
