Clinicians: Protect Yourself From A Potential Medical Malpractice Lawsuit

Pursuant to 21CFR184.1857, if a clinician injects any of the named substances listed in this CFR into a patient with a confirmed IgE-mediated allergy to corn documented in their official medical records, clinicians can be sued for medical malpractice.

“(a) Corn sugar (C6H12O6, CAS Reg. No. 50-99-7), commonly called D-glucose or dextrose, is the chemical α-D-glucopyranose. It occurs as the anhydrous or the monohydrate form and is produced by the complete hydrolysis of corn starch with safe and suitable acids or enzymes, followed by refinement and crystallization from the resulting hydrolysate."

CRITICAL DISCREPANCY

Molecular formula C6H12O6 is the molecular formula for GLUCOSE (naturally occurring blood sugar). As a result of the erroneous molecular formula applied to this CFR, clinicians are telling corn-allergic patients: "You cannot be allergic to dextrose, since dextrose is naturally present in your body." [FALSE] Dextrose (cornstarch sugar/D-glucose)-containing IV fluids are contraindicated for administration to corn-allergic patients in the package insert due to the presence of lethal allergenic corn proteins from the "source" (CORNSTARCH) of this manufactured sugar. Cornstarch contains ZERO "nutritional proteins;" however, cornstarch contains lethal allergenic corn proteins INTRINSIC to cornstarch. "Nutritional proteins" must NEVER be equated with "allergenic food proteins." Cornstarch, molecular formula C27H48O20, is a complex carbohydrate (polysaccharide), and is NOT biochemically identical to glucose (monosaccharide that contains no allergenic food proteins) at the "molecular level." The ONLY way that "Corn sugar/D-glucose/dextrose/α-D-glucopyranose/produced from corn starch" can be detected within the human body is via INGESTION/INJECTION of this manufactured, synthetic, highly allergenic sugar.

URGENT RECOMMENDATION

To protect yourself from potential medical malpractice lawsuits, I would recommend that clinicians file an IMMEDIATE APPEAL with the FDA to correct or delete the erroneous molecular formula applied to this CFR. Administering dextrose (cornstarch sugar/D-glucose) to a corn-allergic patient is equivalent to administering penicillin to a patient with an allergy to penicillin. This critical medical error is subject to reporting and disclosure. If a clinician fails to report this critical medical error, they risk suspension and/or loss of their medical license.
