Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF)

Even though I have now contacted the majority of U.S. hospitals re: protocol for treating corn-allergic patients, I decided to contact the dietary department at the hospital where I had surgery in March (and where I will have my next surgery) to verify if they now stock guaranteed corn-free liquids to comply with the surgeon-ordered, liquid-only diet after my surgery. They only gave me the brand names of the liquids, so I could contact the manufacturers personally. This is unacceptable!

As a result, I am now contacting the food service industry with corn allergy documentation and statistics.
